Iran: Ayatollah Khamenei uses #MeToo to promote the hijab

The rogue regime of Iran is giving America advice: that the hijab will stop assaults against women:

Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, has a solution for all the #MeToo angst — the hijab. The video he attaches to the tweet below runs through a number of prominent American women describing their experience of assault.

This is not the first time that this oppressive, terrorist regime has played holier than thou. Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad once boasted that there “no gays in Iran.” He forgot to mention that if that was true, it was because the Islamic Republic had either killed them or threatened to do so, forcing gays to be secretive. Ahmadinejad also boasted that there was no oppression of women in Iran. Yet it is written in the Quran:

And tell the believing women to reduce of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed. (Quran 24:31)

If a woman does not cover, she is fair game to be assaulted:

O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. (Quran 33:59)

Unfortunately, the niqab does not work as an anti-rape device in Iran; gang-rapes there are reportedly on the rise there, while “attempts made by local judiciary officials to sweep the entire dossier under the rug, are raising extreme anger.”

Also, at the end of May:

Another case of rape caused major stir in Tehran, the country’s capital, where a school official admitted to raping 36 school boys. Some reports say the culprit was the grandson of Haeri Shirazi, the Friday prayer imam of Shiraz, known to be among Khamenei’s inner circle. These officials are considered Khamenei’s personal representatives in each city and province.

“Iran leader uses gymnast Aly Raisman in #MeToo video promoting the hijab,” by Ron Kampeas, Jewish News, October 4, 2018:

Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, has a solution for all the #MeToo angst — the hijab.

The video he attaches to the tweet below runs through a number of prominent American women describing their experience of assault.

Aly Raisman, the Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast, is shown at the start of the 2-minute video.

The clip then segues into her testimony at the sentencing of the Olympic team doctor, Larry Nassar, who molested dozens of women and girls.

After that, Khamenei is shown speaking about how wearing a hijab can protect women from “deviation” (translation: getting assaulted) and how Islam does not allow sexual abuse or violence against women….
