Swedish Moderate party leader calls gun violence “extreme for a country not at war”

Swedish Moderate party leader Ulf Kristersson has called the situation in Sweden  “extreme for a country that is not at war”. Kristersson was referring to gun violence…

Mats Löfving, head of the police’s national operational department Noa, commented on the shootings this year saying: “The development is unacceptable. In many cases, military automatic weapons are used. We see a reduction in the number of those injured in firearm violence, but the killing does not go down.”

While Prime Minister Stefan Löfven aims to tackle “gun crime”, he needs to be tackling his own country’s reckless immigration policy and the failure of Muslim migrants to integrate. Sweden has been plagued by such violence ever since the barrage of the flood of Muslim migrants came in. Even Politico discussed Sweden’s “immigrant” crime, jihad problem and no-go zones; while Foreign Policy published an article, “The Death of the Most Generous Nation on Earth“.As Breitbart reported since 2016:

Much of the crime in Sweden is linked to specific suburbs in large cities like Stockholm and Gothenburg that generally also have a high population of migrants….Swedish police have accounted for a total of 14 no-go areas in which they rarely venture outside of their heavily fortified police stations for fear of being attacked by locals.

Sweden welcomed in more refugees per capita than any other EU country, and its citizens have paid a price. Jihad Watch has long reported about the Muslim migrant catastrophe in Sweden, making the job of policing a living nightmare, and so dangerous that 80 percent of police want to quit their jobs. Some no go zones are like war zones. Since 2014, the “country of 10 million accepted more than 400,000 asylum-seekers and relatives of previous immigrants.” Migrants arrived primarily from Syria, Iraq, Eritrea, Afghanistan, and Somalia.

A “jihadist terror campaign also ravaged Malmo” in 2011 and by 2017, Malmo was so out of control that the Express reported: “the Sweden Democrats demanded soldiers should be sent to Malmo to reestablish law and order as violent thugs have turned the city into a ‘no-go zone’.

From all indications, the situation in Sweden is not improving and while Swedish party leader Ulf Kristersson warns that gun violence is “extreme for a country not at war”, the country is indeed at war with jihadist minded thugs. All Western nations are engaged in a war on jihad terror that is bombarding democracies from all sides; a war that was declared after 9-11 but being denied, not by jihadists but by Western Leftists.

“Swedish Party Leader: Gun Violence ‘Extreme for a Country Not at War’”, by Chris Tomlinson, Breitbart, July 3, 2019:

Swedish Moderate party leader Ulf Kristersson has slammed the surge of gun violence across the country as Prime Minister Stefan Löfven has vowed new measures to tackle gang crime.
Mr Kristersson made his comments in reaction to three shootings over the weekend in the Swedish capital of Stockholm saying the current situation in the country is “extreme for a country that is not at war”, Swedish broadcaster SVT reports.

Mats Löfving, head of the police’s national operational department Noa, commented on the shootings this year saying: “The development is unacceptable. In many cases, military automatic weapons are used. We see a reduction in the number of those injured in firearm violence, but the killing does not go down.”

So far this year, the Stockholm area has seen 11 deaths as a result of shootings. Last year, Sweden saw a record number of shooting fatalities with Swedish police specialist Gunnar Appelgren making similar comments to Kristersson last December, stating that Sweden was akin to a “state at war”.

Shootings have not been limited to Stockholm either. Just before 1am Tuesday morning, police in central Växjö discovered a man who had been wounded as a result of gunfire. Officers say the man had to be rushed to a nearby hospital but so far no suspects have been arrested in the case…..
