Sinead O’Connor blames “Islamophobia” for saying she never wanted to “spend time with white people again”

The idea that Islam is a race and that “white people” is a group that is distinct from “Muslims” is a staple of the moronic British media, but hasn’t Sinead O’Connor been studying Islam? Didn’t her instructors tell her that there are Muslims of all races? Isn’t she herself a white Muslim?

She is a sad case. Her ostentatious conversion and hijab are just a continuation of her long rebellion against the authorities that torment her mind, which we first saw manifested when she ripped up a photo of Pope John Paul II on Saturday Night Live in 1992. But she is likely to find that this new skin is not as easy to shed as her others.

“Sinead O’Connor apologises for ‘white people’ jibe after converting to Islam,” by Emmeline Saunders, Mirror,

Sinead O’Connor has issued an apology nearly a year after claiming white people are “disgusting”.

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer backtracked after her remarks last October insisting she no longer wanted to “spend time with white people again” after converting to Islam.

She had added the hashtags “#TrustMeIAmaSoldier”, “#NotAsF*****CrazyAsSheLooks” and “#ReignOfWhiteMANover” to her provocative tweet.

But Sinead has now apologised, saying she was “unwell” at the time she made the comments.

“As regards to remarks I made while angry and unwell, about white people… they were not true at the time and they are not true now,” she told her Twitter followers.

“I was triggered as a result of islamophobia dumped on me. I apologize for hurt caused. That was one of many crazy tweets lord knows.”…
